Applying to a Post-Secondary Institution

 ApplyAlberta ApplyAlberta is a new online application system that will let students apply to one or more post-secondary institutions and authorize transcript transfers between participating institutions in the province.  

Steps to Study in Alberta 

To successfully apply to study in Alberta, review the following steps:

Research and Planning Before You Apply - Consider some key questions and issues before you apply for post-secondary studies in Alberta.

Choosing a Program - There are many factors to consider in choosing your program of study, such as costs, methods of instruction and English language requirements.

Study Permit - International students need a study permit to study in Canada. Apply for your study permit as soon as you receive your letter of acceptance from the Alberta post-secondary institution.

Before You Leave - Before making final preparations for your move to Alberta, there are a number of things to check, such as whether your study permit is approved.

Arrival in Alberta - Make all necessary arrangements before you arrive in Alberta, such as accommodation and school orientation.

Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.
